1. Highlight the text you wish to clear the formatting from.

2. In the pop-up toolbar, click on the "Clear formatting" icon. 

Click on the Clear formatting button on your toolbar

3. All formatting (i.e. bold, italic, etc) will automatically be removed.

You will see that all formatting (bold, italic and underline) has been removed
