To integrate ADP with AirMason, you need to be added as a collaborator on the account. If you don’t have access, contact the account owner or admin to grant you the required permissions for IT integration. For instructions on adding a new collaborator, refer to this guide.
Part 1: Getting Your ADP API Credentials
To connect ADP to AirMason, you will need to gather four pieces of information from your ADP account. Your ADP administrator or IT team will need to provide these credentials by creating an API application in the ADP Marketplace.
The required fields are:
Client ID (required) — A unique identifier for your ADP API application.
Client Secret (required) — A secret key paired with the Client ID for authentication.
SSL Key — The private key file (in KEY format) used for secure communication.
SSL Certificate — The certificate file (in PEM format) used for SSL authentication.
How to obtain these credentials from ADP:
Log into your ADP account as an administrator.
Navigate to the ADP Marketplace or ADP API Central.
Register a new application or request API access for the AirMason integration.
Once your application is approved, ADP will provide you with a Client ID and Client Secret.
Generate or download the SSL Certificate and SSL Private Key from the ADP developer portal. These are required for mutual SSL authentication.
Note: If you are unsure how to obtain these credentials, contact your ADP account representative or your organization's IT department for assistance. ADP requires mutual SSL (two-way SSL) authentication for API connections, so both the certificate and key are essential.
Part 2: Connecting ADP in AirMason
Log into your AirMason admin dashboard.
Click Integrations from the top navigation bar.
Select the HR Management (HRIS) tab.
Locate ADP in the list and click Connect.
In the connection dialog, enter the following information:

AirMason will now attempt to connect to ADP using the credentials you provided. If the connection is successful, your employee data will begin syncing.
