To integrate Dayforce with AirMason, you need to be added as a collaborator on the account. If you don’t have access, contact the account owner or admin to grant you the required permissions for IT integration. For instructions on adding a new collaborator, refer to this guide.

Part 1: Getting Your Dayforce API Credentials

To connect Dayforce to AirMason, you will need to gather three pieces of information from your Dayforce account. Your Dayforce administrator or IT team will need to provide these credentials.

The required fields are:

  1. Username — A Dayforce service account username with API access permissions.

  2. Password — The password associated with the service account.

  3. Client namespace — Your organization's unique Dayforce client namespace (also known as your company short name in Dayforce).

How to obtain these credentials from Dayforce:

  1. Log into your Dayforce account as an administrator.

  2. Navigate to System Admin > Users.

  3. Create a dedicated service account (or use an existing one) for the AirMason integration. This account should have sufficient permissions to read employee data via the API.

  4. Make note of the User name and Password for this service account.

  5. Your Client namespace can typically be found in your Dayforce URL. For example, if your Dayforce URL is https://yourcompany.dayforcehcm.com, then your client namespace is yourcompany.

Required Permissions

The Dayforce service account used for this integration needs the following permissions:

  • Employee Read — Ability to read employee profile data (name, email, department, etc.).

  • API Access — The account must be enabled for REST API access in Dayforce.

Note: If you are unsure how to set up a service account or configure API permissions, contact your Dayforce administrator or Dayforce support for assistance.

Part 2: Connecting Dayforce in AirMason

  1. Log into your AirMason admin dashboard.

  2. Click Integrations from the top navigation bar.

  3. Select the HR Management (HRIS) tab.

  4. Locate Dayforce in the list and click Connect.

  5. In the connection dialog, enter the following information:
User name — Enter the Dayforce service account username.
Password — Enter the password for the service account.
Client namespace — Enter your organization's Dayforce client namespace.

  6. Click Connect & Sync.

AirMason will now attempt to connect to Dayforce using the credentials you provided. If the connection is successful, your employee data will begin syncing. Once connected, your employees will be able to use their existing Dayforce account to access your handbooks.

Part 3: Syncing and Managing Employees

Once connected, AirMason will sync your employee list from Dayforce. You can manage your synced employees from the Manage Organization page.

From here you can:

  • View your synced employee list

  • Trigger a manual sync at any time

  • Assign handbooks to specific employees or groups

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues connecting Dayforce to AirMason:

  • Double-check that the User name and Password are correct and that the account has not been locked or disabled.

  • Verify that the Client namespace matches your Dayforce environment exactly (it is case-sensitive).

  • Ensure the service account has the required API access and Employee Read permissions in Dayforce.

  • If your organization uses IP whitelisting for API access, ensure that AirMason's IP addresses are allowed.

  • Contact support@airmason.com if you need further assistance.
