Enable the Rippling Two-Way Integration: Sync Signed Handbooks Automatically

Turn on AirMason's two-way Rippling integration to automatically upload signed handbook PDFs and write signature details back to each employee's Rippling profile, no manual filing required.

The Rippling two-way integration automatically uploads each signed handbook PDF to the employee's Rippling profile and writes the signature timestamp, signature ID, and signature name back to Rippling custom fields - so your records stay in sync without any manual filing or data entry.

Step-by-step setup

Step 1: Make sure your handbook is published.

The two-way integration only syncs signatures collected from published documents, so confirm the handbook status shows Published before continuing. Click the Signatures tab.

Step 2: Click the Settings sub-tab inside Signatures.

This is where document-level signature options are configured, including read receipts, acknowledgement language, and the Rippling Signature Write-back integration.

Step 3: Find Rippling Signature Write-back in the settings list and toggle it On and click the Edit button next to it to open the Rippling Sync Settings dialog.

This is where you map AirMason's signature data to the right fields in Rippling.

Step 5: Map the Signature Timestamp, Signature ID and Signature Name fields.

Open each dropdown and choose the Rippling custom field where that value should be stored. The Signature Timestamp field holds the date and time of signing, the Signature ID field holds the unique ID for each signing event, and the Signature Name field holds the name the employee entered when signing. Mapping all three makes it easy to see exactly how each employee signed the document directly from their Rippling profile. Click Save.

Step 8: (Optional but recommended) Click View Sync Status to open the Pending / Failed Syncs panel.

This is where you can monitor sync activity, see which signatures have not made it across to Rippling yet, and troubleshoot any failed records. If everything is working you should see "No pending or failed syncs."

Step 9: Back on the document signature settings page, click Save Changes to finalize and apply the Rippling Signature Write-back configuration to this handbook. When you're ready to sync, click Sync Now to push the signature data to Rippling.

What happens next

From this point on, every time an employee signs the handbook in AirMason, the integration will generate the signature data, upload it to the employee's Rippling profile under your chosen category, and write the signature timestamp, ID, and name into the Rippling custom fields you mapped.

You can return to Rippling Sync Settings at any time and open the Pending / Failed Syncs tab to monitor sync health and troubleshoot any records that did not upload successfully.
