Toolbar Tips

In this article, you'll learn how to utilize the toolbar in the editor to format your text and add various features.

Toolbar button

Purpose

Formats

The Formats button is used to choose the correct style of header or subheader for your text.

Bold, Italisize, Underline

You can highlight your text and bold, italisize and underline by choosing the B, I and U within the toolbar.

Emojis

By clicking the smiley face within the toolbar you will be able to insert a range of different emojis throughout your handbooks.

Subscript/Superscript

The subscript or superscript buttons can be used by highlighting your text then choosing which format you would like.

Alignment

You can highlight your text and choose to left align, center align and right align.

Images

The images button will take you to a pop up where you can use images from your library, upload new images, embed image links or search the web for images.

Bullet points/numbered lists

You can insert bullet points or numbered lists by either choosing the 3 dots, or the 1. 2. 3. options. By clicking the arrows next to the options, you can change the format of your lists.

Clear Formatting

If you need to clear any formatting throughout your handbook you can highlight your text and click the Ix button.

Text colour

By highlighting text and clicking the A within the toolbar you can change the colour of any text.

Highlight text colour

Similar to the text colour button, you can highlight your text and click the A with a grey background button. This will highlight your text in the colour you choose.

Line Space

If you click at the end of a sentence or paragraph and click Line Space, you can alter the spacing between paragraphs to how you choose.

Letter Spacing

Highlight your text, and click letter spacing. You will then be able to choose how much space is within each letter.

Insert Document

To insert a document, highlight the text you want to link to (e.g. Click here), choose the Insert Document button, and choose your PDF. Once uploaded and you've hit Insert, you will then have inserted an downloadable PDF.

Table

You can insert a table by clicking this button, and choosing how big you want your table to be.

Undo/Redo

If you make a mistake and need to undo or redo anything, you can use the back or forward arrows within the toolbar.

Font size

By highlighting your text and choosing the Font size button, you can alter the size of your text throughout the handbook.

Sentence case

When you click the Aa button you can change any highlighted text to sentence case, capitalize case, lowercase or uppercase.
