How to create an automated welcome email for a handbook

Automatically email employees who are given access to a handbook.

Looking to send an email to new employees with access to the handbook? Automated Welcome Emails allow you to send personalized welcome messages for a specific handbook or group β€” complete with login details for a seamless onboarding experience. This is a great way to ensure that new employees added to a group with handbook access automatically receive an email.


Step 1: In the admin dashboard, click the three dots in the top-right corner of a handbook.

Step 2: In the dropdown menu, select "Settings".


Step 3: Scroll to the bottom "Automated welcome emails" section and enable the toggle is be set as on.

Step 4: Click the "Customize" link beside the toggle to edit the welcome email.

Step 5: A pop-up will appear where you can use the default text for the email's subject line and message body or insert your own.

Step 6: When you're finished, click "Save changes".
